DENNIS M. ASTILL, J.D.
Dennis began his practice as an attorney over 30 years ago, working with the law firm of Strong &Hanni, PC for 27 years. There he led lawyers in the Estate Planning, Tax and Business group, and was the President and CEO of the firm for over 10 years. Dennis opened his own office, the Astill Law Office in Sandy in 2005. In addition to his law practice, from 2006 to 2011, Dennis was the general manager and counsel for Anderson Geneva Development, Inc., managing the redevelopment of the former Geneva Steel plant.
Dennis has assisted over 3000 clients to plan and implement their wills and trusts, structure their businesses and protect their assets, helping clients protect and transfer over $1 Billion in assets, while saving them millions of dollars in taxes and administrative costs.
Practice Areas: Dennis specializes as an attorney inestate planning, trusts and wills, asset protection planning, business tax planning and advising closely held business owners.
Education: Dennis received his law degree from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School in April, 1978, graduating cum laude and was admitted to the Utah State Bar Association in 1978. He also received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Utah State University in 1975.

Other Activities: In addition to his busy practice as an attorney, Dennis has been a frequent speaker atprofessional education seminars on wills and trusts, tax and estate planning, asset protection, and other business topics. Dennis is currently serving as the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Utah Community Development Corporation, an organization dedicated to providing affordable homes to lower income persons. He also serves as a Scoutmaster in Sandy, Utah, Boy Scouts of America, and enjoys many outdoor activities. Finally, but certainly not least of all, Dennis and his wife have 8 children between them and enjoy many family activities with children and grandchildren.
